my ent did the phlembotomy (sp?), where they stick the scope down your throat. he saw that my tongue was the obstruction. he had me lay down and do a "sleep" type assimilation and pinched my nose and had me take a breath, which i ended up choking while doing. i then scheduled an x-ray at an orthodontists office, which confirmed what my ent had thought in the first place. so, i signed up for surgery. that's about all. hope it helps!
