Cathy and all,
If you read my posts of some weeks ago, you will see that I had a devastating down period. Apnea returned and was severe. I went back on an autotitrating CPAP, which was no worse but also no better than CPAP ever had been. My surgery was done at Stanford by Dr. Troell, and I heard the same explanations of what was possible. In my case we knew that we might have to do the uvula in any case. However, after about 6 weeks on CPAP, I felt ready to sleep without it, and have in fact been doing somewhat better, Not perfect, but better. I take pseudoephedrine before bedtime, which is not good for blood pressure, but seems to help me sleep.
Cathy, by the way, I live in St. Louis, but I spent last weekend in Fort Smith visiting a new friend.
Tom
