Post Surgery Update

Posted by SunnyApnea on October 03, 2001 at 10:48:51:

I had UPPP,GA,Somno to the tongue 5 weeks ago. The throat pain is some what gone and there is still numbness in teeth/pain/swelling in chin area. I do not see any improvements in my sleep. I still wake up with head aches, un rested, feel sleepy during the day. I feel I am not in deep sleep at all.

I wonder how many days does it take to see the results of the surgery ? Some how for the first 2 1/2 weeks after the surgery I slept well and no head aches although I stopped pain killers after 9 days. I do not know if I slept well because of pain & pain killers or the surgery worked for a while :-)

FYI: My RDI is 20 (moderate) and the doctor felt that I would not be needing any more procedures.

Any input and advice is greatly adviced....
