I too have the same problem...

I had all 3 procedures (GA/HS/UPPP) as well as base of tounge reduction 2 months ago and just got back from the ENT's office today...

He basically did the scope and as soon as he froze my throat with XYLOCAINE and layed back on the table, I could actually feel and hear my self making the snoring & choking noises.

He said that I still have significant obstruction from the base of my tounge and that more surgery would be required...

Somnoplasty of the tounge has been ruled out because of the amount of my tounge that needs to be excised.

I am going to give CPAP another shot and then re-evaluate further surgery in 4-6 months.

The original tounge surgery was BRUTAL and I'm not sure if I want to go through it again...

I would be interested in hearing more about the dental appliances though.
