Part of the problem with diagnosing me has been that I don't snore (my uvula was removed by accident when my tonsils came out when I was 2 in 1952) and I am not heavy, I weigh 180 and am 6' tall. I do have a long neck. Some dimension that the Dr. measured from the hyoid to an axis through the tongue should be 17mm and mine was 27mm. Extra tissue to collapse into the airway. These procedures weren't done at the same time as my surgeon doesn't want to perform more than what is needed. He has done multiple procedures on some patients, he "hopes no more will be needed on me". I have heard through this forum and other sources that GA and MMA can be really painful, healing time is long, therapy may be required and occassionally numbness may last for more than a year. These reports make me a little nervous.
