I was Dr. Li's patient on October 3rd

You asked: I was it, on October 3.

Shall we say that I feel like a Mac Truck ran into me (procedures were MMA/GA).

I kept Dr. Li et. al. very busy. My surgery took 7 1/4
hours. Dr. Li broke two bone saws on my dense jaw, something he's apparently never done before. His estimate
was that my surgery was going to take 5 1/2 hours. Along the way he removed two lower impacted wisdom teeth. So you
can see how much longer than usual I took. I had UPPP
performed in Boston in February.

Per Dr. Li's recommmendation, I've been walking around
quite a bit: this does seem to have helped keep my temperature under control. I'm glad I got myself back
into decent physical conditition before surgery.

The last several nights I've slept propped up without
CPAP: all things considered (given previous experience)
I slept ok, and this is a hopeful sign. I'm keeping my
fingers crossed.

The care at Standford, particularly in the ICU, was superb.
