Surgeon's fees were $25K; dunno what Stanford charges for operating room, ICU, etc, though the estimates were for another $25K or so. I'll see the bills at some point. There was another $1K for the initial consultation, roughly.

I gather my insurance for out of area care has some special rate with Stanford, so it isn't clear the rates I'll end up paying part of are "full fee".

Standord's care, particularly in the ICU, struck my wife and I as outstanding.
