Hi Jim, first, the very best of luck to you. I had those same procedures done by the same group in April. The surgery is traumatic and real recovery can take some months. I did notice that my surgery started a little late - first we expected to start at noon, then 1, and finally around 3:30-4. I hope all has gone well with you. The ICU and ward nursing staff at Stanford are one very good reason to go their. Regards, and good luck.
