Elaine, you sound like my wife. I am 54 years old and been snoring and gasping forever. I finally went to a doctor , had a sleep study done and i have surgery planned for 10/22/01, for uppp tonsils an adenoids. My ent doctor says he believes this surgery will change my life. I always felt tired, had trouble driving for any length of time, fell asleep at a red light once, fell asleep at work a couple of times, lucky i still have my job.
Let your husband read a lot in this forum , i did and i realized i needed help. I am not looking forward to the surgery but it is something that has to be done . After reading alot here i feel i know what to expect and feel i am pretty well prepared with everything i need. Will post after surgery my results, good luck with your husband
