Elaine,
I'm a 46 year old male who had a significant snoring problem (turns out that I also had sleep apena too). My wife had been complaining for a year and had started sleeping in a guest bedroom, so I finally mentioned it to my physician during a physical. He referred me to an ENT (ear, nose and throat doc), who ordered a sleep study. In my case, surgery was recommended (this may or may not be the case for your husband) and I decided to do it. It has been 4 weeks since my surgery and I (and my wife) am very pleased with the results: no more snoring. I'll go back for a follow-up sleep study later this year.

Get your husband to read some of the postings on this web site and insist that he visit a physician. Doing nothing is not an option.

Pete
