Patrick
Congratulations! I have followed your story closely. I had the MMA/GA last April, and the soft tissue surgeries (uvula, base of tongue, hyoid) in October; both surgeries at Stanford. In the last 6 weeks I have worked with my internist to deal with a series of infections in my mouth/palate/uvula/throat. (I do not think the infections resulted from poor surgical or hospital care, just that beaten up tissues are vulnerable. The infection became serious because I have little sensory feeling, and no gag reflex, at the moment.) I think that the infections are over, and I am looking foreward hopefully to some real recovery. So, reading your posts has been encouraging. Good luck, and we all should admire your perseverance and methodical approach.
Tom
