The guy is a jerk, you are better off without him. Be sure you get the house, car, bank accounts, he maintains health insurance on you, and life ins on him with you being the policy owner and beneficiary. You need enough to support yourself indefinately if he comes to an untimely end. About a million should do it. The interest on that should pay you 50 k per year. And you must be the policy owner so he cannot change the beneficiary. Do not get a witchey female lawyer. Get someone competant, but not one whose animosity jeopordixes your settlement. Divorce because of trache sounds like breaking new ground.
