Any success stories?

Posted by Jan in Jersey on January 10, 2002 at 07:20:47:

Hi! I just dicovered this forum, so maybe I'm not finding the right info. I'm 37 yrs. old & have used a CPAP for the past two yrs. Yesterday, I had a tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, and UPPP. Pain so far is mild to moderate, and swallowing is, um, interesting. What I was wondering was, has anyone had what they consider a succesful experience following these or similar procedures? I was looking over the posts, and there are a lot of horror stories, but I realize that in a support forum, people discuss their concerns, so this may just seem lopsided.

My surgery was done at 11:30 a.m., and I was out of the hospital by 2:30 p.m., so I guess it went well. Just out of curiosity, which did you find more soothing post-op, cold foods or warm, liquids or semi-solids? Thanks for your input!
