Good luck, but you should not anticipate any problems. Dr. Li is an excellent surgeon and a fine physician; he operated on me in October. The two procedures you are having done are not that painful during recovery, and Stanford has one of the finest hospitals and staff anywhere. I agree with Alamo Joe about the hydration. I requested that the IVs be run until I either was able to drink A LOT or left the hospital. You might want to stay in Palo Alto after you leave the hospital long enough to have Dr. Li remove the stitches from the HA, but it is not at all a big deal. I was able to travel home much sooner than I had anticipated. Regards,
