Standard statements are that UPPP improves about 50% of patients by 50% or better. If your RDI was much > 10, 50% is not enought. However, if the doc can prove via pictures taken while you are asleep that the UPPP does address exactly your problem, then it might be worth a try. In most cases, the only person who gains from UPPP is the $urgeon (and maybe the Lexus dealer).
