Even though UPPP is of limited success, in your situation I would definitely have it done. I had it done two years ago and it did not help me, yet my oxygen levels were not as low as yours are. Also, when UPPP is perfomed in conjunction with Base of Tongue Somnoplasty there is an 80% success rate according to a Somnus sales rep I spoke with. You may want to try elevating the head of your bed 6-9 inches which helps to reduce any nasal congestion. Also, at some chain drug stores they sell over the counter dental devices that position the mandible forward which may provide you with some relief.
