Hope you've done all the homework & tried the alternatives, that said, I'm one of the lucky ones with a pretty good response to UPPP & sinoplasty to correct a deviated septum. Went from desaturating in oxgen to the 70's, about 50 events an hr, and almost no dreams to no oxgen desaturation events down to 9 an hr if I sleep on my side and dreams that are on occasion all too vivid. ( I had my tonsils out as a child, so they weren't part of the proble.) If you've got good surgeons who worked to identify your particular blockage site, UPPP can help. My results from the surgery have been stable for more than 1 year ( Surgery Oct, 2000, ist f/u test Jan, 2001, 2nd f/u tests Feb, 2002.) Good luck - hope this story helps.
Kevin
