well,I survived the surgery.(UPPP,Septo,Tonsils) Went under the knife at 2pm, was sent home at 8pm last nite.
Pretty uncomfortable and took Tylox every 2-3 hrs for the pain.Didn't get much sleep, neither did my wife.
Went to the Dr this morning who removed the packing from my nose. That made a huge difference. I had a horrible headache that miraculously went away almost immediately. Not too mention that I am able to breathe through my nose better than I can ever remember.
Was able to drink ice water and eat ices yesterday, and just had some real food: rice pudding and yogurt.yummy..
All in all I feel pretty good right now,(maybe it's the meds) although the Dr said I could hit a wall between days 5-7. Something about the swelling going down in the palate. I'll deal with that when I get there, for now I'm relieved that the surgery is over.
I'll keep you posted as I progress through this experience.... Stu
