Surgery in 2 days!!! Help!!!

Posted by Tuppence on April 02, 2002 at 13:47:59:

Hi everyone,

I have suspected mild apnea but my main problem is recurrent ear infections. My septum is badly deviated and has a spur on it. My sinuses are in a terrible mess.

I am having septoplasty and sinus surgery on Thursday and am getting really nervous as I have been reading a lot of posts regarding the pain etc post surgery.

Can anyone give me some advice on how to cope after surgery, any tips would be most appreciated. My doc says I will have splints & packing in my nose for a week!!! How will I breathe properly ?? I get panicky just thinking about it.

Thanks in advance for any help
Love Tuppence
