Karen.. First take a deep breath because if your husband is like most men you are about to become the caretaker of helpless child.. (grin). I had the same surgery (UPPP and tonsilectomy) on March 11.. being three weeks post op and feeling good.. I was even able to go work out this week. But the first two weeks were Hedoublehockeysticks. And I needed alot of support from my family.

Now for the good news.. or mine anyways. I don't snore anylonger and my husband is sooo happy.

Now for the bad news... I still have OSA. I am still going to need a machine to sleep with for what may be the rest of my life. The difference being when my life used to depend on that machine. Now I use it just to get a betters night sleep. I can sleep with out and be ok. but with it I actually get a full nights rest.

So.. as for the medical facts about the surgery .. just read up.. it doesn't have a great success ratio.. but what is success.. if it means that he has improvement and you can be in the same room then that is success..

OK.. so what I am trying to say is. He may not be cured.. but you will see improvement.. and that is worth it.

I wish you luck and let us know if we can be of any support.
