Check prior forums for all kinds of information on tracheostomies. I am sure that there are ENT's out there who can still do the procedure. See Scott's postings in prior forums about the Cleveland Clinic and their trach procedures.
I had my trach done in 1984 at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis by a surgical team led by the head of ENT at the University of Minnesota Hospital.
I spent two years doing CPAP, UPPP's, Cylert, Ritalin, etc before getting the trach. My only regret is not getting it done earlier. Life is too short to spend it only half awake.
Pleasant Dreams
