I had the septoplasty and turbinate reduction at the same time as the UPPP, tonsiles and tongue base reduction. The nose is nothing. I kept it irrigated some with saline nasal spray and could even breath some before the splints were removed (they have holes in them now, to breath through, but they clog easily). I had mine done five weeks ago and use a nasal irrigator twice a day. I got my last big crusty out yesterday at the Doc's office, but still have some congestion and goo. The longest part is the recovery of the mucus glands, but is is all very tolerable. The jury is still out on the rest of my surgery, but I would do the nose again in a heartbeat. Good luck and keep us posted.
