I started with mild sleep apnea but LOUD snoring, and had a UPPP/tonsilectomy 8 weeks ago. The snoring is now virtually gone (kicked out of bed only twice in the last month, as opposed to NIGHTLY before this). I'm not sure yet about the apnea itself, but since my case was "mild" I was more concerned about the marriage-threatening snoring!!

For my recovery, I either got lucky or was given great pain medication (oxycontin) - see my 3/28 post entitled "UPPP Pain-Free" if you'd like details.

I hope this encourages you and your husband!
