Post septoplasty surgery 4/4......help!!

Posted by tuppence on April 08, 2002 at 03:41:48:

Hi
I had septoplasty and sinus surgery last Thursday. It went well but I am so uncomfortable right now.

Pain is moderate but I still cannot breathe through my nose as the splints are still in. I feel lightheaded and really drowsy.....could this be the painkillers - Co-proxamol 325mg.
I cannot sleep properly and the last two nights have woke up drenched in sweat in the middle of the night. The doctor has told me not to irrigate my nasal opassages at all, they are encrusted with 'stuff' ....sorry!!! My eyes are also really sore. Did anyone else have these problems ???

I am dreading having the splints out as it is still really swollen and painful.

Any replies would be appreciated
Thanks
Love Tuppence
