You will feel MUCH better after the splints are taken out. You will think they are pulling bannana's out of your nose, but it doesn't hurt. Mostly it just feels odd. I did not start irrigating until after the splints were out, but I did keep it moist with saline spray. He took mine out after 5 days. You are almost there. The rest of the healing is a slow process, but tolerable.
