hang in three, keep reading those of us who have gone through this before you! I am 4 1/2 weeks out, and not quite 100%, but able to do much of my normal routine. I DID think the splint removal was painful, but the relief afterwards was well worth it! Mine were only in for three days. My nose is still sensitive to the touch, my throat is still raw on one side, I still have stitches which annoy the heck out of me. But the worst thing is I cannot eat chocolate!! It really stings going down, so I must avoid my favorite food! Anyway, after days 5/6 you will start to improve pretty steadily. But slowly. I did not get to sleep in my own bed for a full two weeks, having taken up residence in a recliner. Keep the humidifier on ALL the time when you are seated or lying down. Drink a lot of water! Fluid upkeep is much more important than eating! Good luck!
