I am not sure if this would be classified as a sleep disorder, but it does seem sleep related. From time to time I have "spells" that I have formerly called dizzy spells, because that is the simplest way do describe them. It would be more accurate to describe them as "sleep spells". They last anwhere from 10 to 30 seconds and the experience is very much like the feeling you get when you are just nodding off to sleep, complete with dream-like jumbled up thoughts. Not always, but often I feel sleepy after these spells. I originally started getting them when I was about 13. I had not had one for many years until about the first of this year. They have been occuring as much as twice a day or as little as once or twice a month. I'm not sure but them seem to occur more frequently when I am under more stress. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
