Same goes in my house. Lord knows, I probably sleep better too without her elbowing my ribs everytime I snore. I figure presence, noise and movement are the most disturbing factors to another's sleep, so what needs to be done is acquaint/reacquaint your patner to these aspects of nocturnal activity. The best way I can figure to do this would be to have separate beds in the same room, in separate corners (like couples of the 50's who ALWAYS looked well rested and refreshed). This will accustom your partner to your "sleeping noises" including verbal as well as motion (thrashing, tugging, etc.). As the years roll on, you can slowly move the beds closer together until one day you both decide that the two beds look like one big bed. Then you go out and buy a brand new big bed and break it in, in celebration of your newfound partnership.
other than this, I haven't a clue.
