Actually, now I don't realize i'm dreaming...but when i was 14-15, sometimes I knew when I was dreaming and I chose whether I wanted to keep dreaming or not...when my dream was not so great, I would jerk my head and wake up. The funny thing about that is that i knew the head jerk had nothing to do with reality...it was sorta like a symbol of me waking...I don't know how or why it worked, but it did. And yes, it is a blessing to be able to do that especially when a dream is not going well. I remember when I was dreaming, and knew I was dreaming, sometimes I choose to continue dreaming. I would try to unrealistic stuff. Most of the time this didn't work, I never could do what I wanted. But these dreams never lasted long and I moved onto a new dream...after that I forget if I still realized I was dreaming or not. And to remenisce (spelling?), further...more than once, I would jerk my head and find myself in a new dream thinking that I was awake (scary)...then figuring out i wasn't and trying to wake myself up again (thinking I was awake) and then another dream (yikes)...anyways...enough for now
