If I understand you, the condition of grinding your teeth may be Bruxism. I have this condition ,I clench and grind my teeth when I sleep. This caused headaches and a sore jaw, along with wearing down the enamel on my teeth. This is also one of my "multiple sleep disorders".

I now wear a mouth guard at night that helps a lot. You may want to look into this. It takes a little getting use to, but my teeth will thank me in the years to come.
