The focus until he get to a sleep lab is safety.

You should read the posting I made to the message just above yours for safety issues.

Set up the room so he can not get out without alarms going off. Loud enough to wake him or you. Make sure no knives or other sharp objects in room. Shouldn't have any guns in the house, etc.

Stress does make sleepwalking worse. Maybe some stress reduction exercises would help.

You should call a lab and speak to a sleep specialist to see what he thinks about you sleeping together.
