Alpha intrusion is the presence of alpha rhythm during sleep. Alpha is generated in the brain when you are awake with your eyes closed.

It may enter into sleep because of several things. One is pain disorders. Treat the pain and it usually dissapears. Also caused by some neurological disorders, don't know about MS, chronic fatigue, post traumatic stress, fibrositis, rheumatiod arthritis, and some psychiatric patients will have it.

Don't know why you are taking klonopin if you do not hve restless legs, but before you stop taking it you should consult with your physician and find out what it is for and if it is safe to stop.
