hypersomnia

Posted by Jennifer Kellow on July 12, 1999 at 19:11:29:

I have suffered off and on since I was 22 with wakeing up and feeling like I am still asleep. I go thru periods where I am misserable because I have no normal energy and can't stay awake or do much of anything even though I have slept for 7,8 or 9 hours at a time. I don't know what to do. I don't have a thousand dollars to go to a sleep clinic but I need help!!! I went to many docters who told me I was nuts and there was nothing wrong with me. I am shattered to hear that there is no cure for this problem. I live in NYC anyone know of anywhere I can go for help?? I don't think stimulants are an answer. I went to a docter who tried to put me on caffine pills....help!
