I just started looking into how I can awake more easily and am hoping to find something via this forum. I too have a lot of difficulty waking up and getting out of bed, whether I've had 6 or 12 hours of sleep. Somedays I'm sure I could sleep longer than 12 hours but still feel tired. I'm not depressed and have maintained a job which starts at 8 a.m. although I wish "owl" hours were more apparent since I do prefer to stay up late moreso than get up early. Getting up anytime is almost painful but when I have to get up M - F for work, it takes at least an hour of snoozing before I'm even conscious of time. As a kid I used to be able to sleep through smoke detectors but hope I am past that now that I'm in my late 20's (although haven't tested this recently). I want to be more of one of those people who jump out of bed in the morning!
