I have REM Behavior Disorder, and I've been on clonazepam for about two years. As far as side effects, I try to take it a bit before bedtime to prevent being extra groggy in the morning. While benzodiazapenes are addictive, this is a medication most folks with RBD are going to be on for life anyway, and I don't have to take more for the same effect. I sleep soundly on the medication, and I don't whack my gf in my sleep anymore. A good trade off, all in all.
