Red face/bloodshot eyes when I wake

Every time I wake up my face is red... the same color it would be after I've ran for 30 minutes and my eyes are a pinkish bloodshot color. It really doesnt look like i was enjoying my sleep at all. Is this a sleep disorder or related to another health problem? Could it be sleep apniea?
