Posted by Debi50 on January 18, 2005 at 20:35:16:Hi there. My husband has snored for years. As his wife, I often would lay awake next to him; nudging him, or calling his name softly...anything to break up the snoring pattern he was in. Somehow his snoring got better, but now he breathes VERY deeply...it goes on and on each night. He just inhales/exhales so deeply...it is as bad as the snoring was! My husband's heart is okay (he recently had some heart related tests done), but he is somewhat overweight...I was wondering what can be done to help someone with this problem? I bought nostril strips for my husband, but they aren't helping at all. Can anyone suggest something that might help him? I hardly got any sleep last night. When I even have a slight problem getting to staying asleep at night, his breathing will keep me awake. BTW, I have COPD, and my breathing is nothing like his is, at night! I can't understand why someone in a resting state should breathe so heavily like that. Thanks in advance for any ideas/suggestions...Debbie
I posted this on the sleep apnea forum, but was told that I was at the wrong forum. Has anyone here heard/experienced a problem like my husband has?
