Is this a disorder?

Posted by laxchick737 on January 21, 2005 at 19:14:49:

I am trying to figure out if I may have some type of sleep disorder or if these events are just stress-related or the result of some other feeling. Usually a couple times a week, I awake at or right around 3 A.M., but I usually can fall right back asleep afterwards. Also, sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night, glance at my clock, and somehow think I am running late and begin to get ready for school. It usually takes me about 10 to 15 minutes to realize that it is not time to get ready, but twice I was completely ready for school and was about to leave the house before I realized that I was 2 hours early. Other times I will wake up in the middle of the night and think I need to do something, but soon realize that it is the middle of the night and go back to sleep. I do not really experience excessive daytime sleepiness other than just the usual dread of waking up early and some sleepy moments at school, but these seem pretty normal for a teenager. I have researched some sleep disorders but I can not seem to find one that fits what I am going through. Do you have any ideas as to what this is? Or is this just a phase I am going through?
Thanks for any help.
