I haven't had success with Provigil for the EDS. With Ritalin, I still feel tired but it seems to prevent me from napping too long or too deeply (although I still nap). I've had minimal stomach problems with Ritalin. For me, the Ritalin LA 20mg seems to be milder than the regular tablets 20mg. Also, Ritalin wears off sooner, which for me, was helpful for sleeping at night, & if there were side effects, they didn't last forever. The side effects I had from Provigil, difficulty catching my breath, seemed to last all day & evening. Finding the right dose of Ritalin for me seemed to help regulate the side effects, but I wish I didn't need to take anything at all. Good luck to you! Hope this helps.
