Going to bed at 3am probably isn't the best schedule to follow for getting adequate sleep when needing to rise for an early class. You should be going to bed much earlier like before 12am, I would say 11pm and then getting up at 7am to eat, get dressed, and head off for classes. You may need to reset your internal clock for a few nights before you accomplish getting back onto a decent schedule. However, anytime you experience a swing in the amount of sleep you need, it is wise to consult your physician. You may be fighting off a virus or have a thyroid or chemical imbalance like low blood sugar or something. Your doctor would be the expert which could tell you if you just have developed poor sleeping habits or if your body is undergoing some sort of crisis that is requiring/causing you to sleep more sleep than normal. Get a good physical exam, including some routine blood work and then if everything checks out ok, try to reset your clock for a better sleeping timeframe. Melatonin is also a consideration in trying to establish a better schedule, but again, it can interfer with other medications so it is still best to consult with your doctor first.
