What is wrong with me?

Posted by victor2000 on February 25, 2005 at 12:06:08:

It happened again today, as it often does, and I hate it. I eat a sandwich, drink a Coke, and that's the last think I remember for hours. It also happens when I eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and drink a glass of milk. If I don't eat and drink, I'm fine.

The second problem is that I never, ever, ever feel refreshed in the morning except on very rare occsssions and there is no predicting when these occassions will occur. This second problem has resulted in the loss of every job I have ever had, as I always get to work around 5-10 minutes late in the morning. Unfortunately, in my chosen field, there are no second or thrid shifts to be had.

My normal sleep pattern is to go to bed around 11 or 12 at night and to wake up anywhere from 4-6 in the morning. However, because I am up, doesn't mean I am awake - I'm not. I can't get myself moving. By the time I feel awake, I will be late for work.

Once I am awake in the morning, I have about two hours when my brain is really, really sharp. Before and after this small period of time, my mind is dull.

I envy those who get up, do push-ups, go for a jog, take a shower, and then leave the house looking forward to their day at work - I would be a rich man today if I was able to feel this...
