Too much sleep

Posted by Sleepie on March 03, 2005 at 01:43:19:

I am writing in in regards to the problems my wife is experiencing. She has had too much hours of sleep a day. She can sleep for 12 to 15 hours straight without even waking up in the middle.

Lets talk about the getting to sleep part. She has no problems at all falling asleep, and her sleeping habits every night is around ten thirty to eleven.

However, she always fall into this deep sleep which accompanies dreaming that seems to me that is restraining her from getting up. My wife often feedbacks to me that she sometimes consciously forces herself out of the sleep but couldn't.

When she's awake in the day, she suffers from this sleepiness attack which means that she could not concentrate well in whatever she's doing and more often than not stare into space.

Come to think of it, this is indeed very horrifying and I would very much like to know the reason behind and hopefully be able to find a solution to help her get out of this sleep disorder, if that's what you call it.

Thanks and regards. And hope to hear from you soon.
