Nope,Sandman. This something different I think. I've posted on this before, but replies are few. It's like an electric shock or wave that surges through your brain. It's not hypnic jerking of muscles. It can happen as you're falling asleep or waking up, and occasionally in the middle of sleep. I've experienced this a few times a year since I was a teenager -- 55 now. For me, when it happens, it usually happens a few times until I really wake up and get out of bed. It doesn't worry me, but it would be nice to know what it is.
