I have been diagnosed with a non REM sleep disorder which appears to be rare. Doctors are unsure how to treat it and I am about to start a trial on clomazepan which is normally used to treat REM sleep disorders. My main symptoms include waking up at least 10 times a night, only remember this once or twice. The first couple in the night I feel like I can't breathe and that I'm choking. This is definitely happening in non REM sleep. Has anyone any experience of this??
