Posted by directedition on August 08, 2007 at 13:40:40:I have a problem where I grope at my girlfriend's breasts while asleep. She sees this as a willful act and thinks I view her 'as meat' and wants to break up.
I've read a number of journals on the issue of sleep sex (from which my major symptom seems pretty minor), but there is much on the way of symptoms. Though some how mentioned sleep apea having a possible connection.
From wikipedia's list of symptoms, here is what I have or have not:
restless sleep - I sometimes have trouble getting to sleep, not always, maybe half the time.
loud snoring - Seems to be on and off.
morning headaches - Nope.
trouble concentrating - Diagnosed ADD as a child, still have problems in school.
irritability - Not really.
forgetfulness - Definately.
mood or behavior changes - Nope
decreased sex drive - Nope.
increased heart rate - ? I don't take heart rate readings too often...
anxiety - Not any more than normal.
depression - Not until being dumped the night before last.
increased frequency of urination - I constantly need to pee.
nocturia (getting up during the night to urinate) - Sometimes several times during the night.
esophageal reflux - Odd, some bad random heartburn was happening around the time this started.
heavy sweating at night - Nope.So I meet some, and not others. Is that typical? If it is apnea that I have, would curing it also solve my sleep sex problem? Thanks a ton. I'm afraid I can't afford to see a sleep specialist at this time. But if this problem is as threatening as it sounds, I might have to bite the bullet.
