I'm not really looking to resolve his sleep issues right now, if he wakes up I feed him, otherwise i let him sleep. He's struggled with not gaining enough weight so I don't mind the chance for him to have an extra feeding. My problem is that I wake up whether he does or not and often I can't get back to sleep for 2-3 hours! Recently (for a little over a week) I have been waking up at about 2 am and just can't get back to sleep. The last few days baby has waited until about 4 or 5 to wake up & I'm usually still awake at that time. I eventually fall asleep after feeding him but then I only get an hour or two of sleep before work. When I wake up early, I don't know if I should get up & read to try to fall back asleep or just stay in bed-lately neither of these works. I seem to get into a routine and stick with it and I just can't get out of this rut. I'm exhausted and finding it difficult to function throughout the day. I've tried drinking warm milk and it hasn't helped. Sometimes when I'm lying awake I even have to get up and eat since being awake a while triggers hunger. If I ate a really big dinner I'm OK though. Any advice?
Thanks
