I had him take the test and it suggested he had symptoms of sleep apnea and insomnia.

I also asked him some questions about his history with this problem and he says he never knew of it before he started dating me, but that he doesn't think his parents would try to wake him up if he didn't get up right away, so he could well have had this problem since infancy.

I am pushing him to see a specialist and he is coming around to the idea, but we are forced to wait by insurance issues. I wish, though, that I had an idea of what the problem is so I could do research about it.

Thanks for your input Sandman, I'm not exactly glad to hear that it sounds like a serious disorder, but I am glad to know I'm not nuts for thinking it's a problem!
