You can watch him sleep and looks for signs of a breathing disorder. Snoring, may or may not be present, being there is a strong sign for possible osa, unusual body movements, occasional gasping sounds, sweating, breathing stops frequently for short periods of time, and Sandman's famous sour smell test.
