I have had cronic hypnogogic jerks for almost ten years now makeing it imposible for me to fall asleep without med's. I have tried many med's the most efective was a combination of Affexor and Remeron which I was on for about five years at the smallest dose possible. neither drug is adictive and you wont build a tolerance to them. Right now I am takeing just the Remeron, one half to one quarter of a 45 mg tablet and mabe a little alcahol works pretty well most nights. The side efects of the affexor where a problem.
Persistent hypnic jerks are something even the sleep specialists dont realy know how to treat.
