I am a female age 41, for the past two years I wake several times during the night. I wake and go right back to sleep, this happens several times a night. I had a sleep study done and the showed apneas if I slept on my back, which I hardly ever do. The arousals were recorded as unexplained.

I tried the CPAP for one year and feel that it has not made any difference in the quality of sleep so I recently stopped it. I hardly ever dream and the days that I do are usually a good night, like 4 hours before I awake.

Would these type of arousals be insomnia, or something else. I went to a sleep doctor and tried Mirapex, and Temazepam (both didn't help). I take Ambien and the arousals are more tolerable but I still don't sleep well.
AD make me feel spaced out I even tried to half them for a week and couldn't function.

Does anyone have any knowledge on this type of sleep problem.
